光を開放し、確かな存在感を放つ──。新作「Graham（グラハム）」は、2025年冬、CHIKAKO YAJIMAが新たに提案するダイヤモンドジュエリーコレクション。今回は、誕生の背景にあるインスピレーションとデザインへの想いをご紹介します。
私はデザインの原点を「構造の美」に見出しています。数学の図形は、無駄を削ぎ落とした先に“整った美しさ”が残る世界。新作の構想を練る中で、私は何度も数学図書館を訪れ、心がときめく図形を探しました。まるでレコードを“ジャケ買い”するように、装丁や図版から直感的に惹かれる一冊。手に取り、ページをめくるたびに平面の美に心を奪われていきました。それこそが、「グラハムのパッキング」という概念です。
限られた空間に円が調和的に配置されるこの数学的構造は、秩序と自由、緊張と調和が共存する、美の縮図のようでした。私はこの理論をジュエリーデザインに落とし込み、ダイヤモンドを最小限の要素で配置することで、“光のリズム”を生み出しました。
「Graham」のデザインは、一見するとシンプル。しかし、角度を変えるたびに光が解放され、緻密な構造美が立ち上がります。爪や装飾に頼らず、ミニマルな線と面だけで描くことで、ダイヤモンドそのものの存在感が際立つデザインに仕上げました。モードでありながら、どこか静謐な佇まいを持つ「Graham」シリーズは、日常の装いに凛とした光を添えるリング、ピアス、ネックレスをラインナップしています。それはまるで、思考の中にある“数理の美”を、肌の上で感じるようなジュエリーです。
シンプルを愛する人へ。構造に宿る美を求める人へ。「Graham」は、知性と感性をまとう新しい時代のためのジュエリーとなって欲しいと感じています。

Releasing the Light – The Birth of “Graham”
Unveiling its light with quiet strength — “Graham”, the new diamond jewelry collection by CHIKAKO YAJIMA, debuts in Winter 2025.
Here, we share the inspiration and creative journey behind its design.
My creative foundation has always been rooted in the beauty of structure.
In mathematics, forms exist in their purest logic — stripped of excess, leaving only essential beauty.
While developing this new collection, I often visited the mathematics library, searching for shapes that stirred my heart.
It felt like choosing a vinyl record for its artwork — intuitively drawn to the elegance of a single image or page.
Among those discoveries was the concept of “Graham’s Packing.”
This mathematical arrangement — where circles coexist in harmony within a limited space — revealed to me a world where order and freedom, tension and balance, beautifully intertwine.
Translating this theory into jewelry design, I placed each diamond with minimal elements, allowing a new rhythm of light to emerge.
At first glance, the Graham designs appear simple.
Yet as the angle shifts, the light is released — and the intricate architecture comes alive.
Without relying on prongs or ornamentation, the pieces are built from refined lines and planes, emphasizing the diamond’s inherent brilliance.
The result is jewelry that is both modern and serene, with rings, earrings, and necklaces that bring quiet luminosity to everyday life — as if wearing the mathematical elegance of thought itself.
For those who love simplicity.
